Whispers of a dream
Trying to find that space,
That one place in the world,
Like so many found before,
Left behind,
Never to see again,
A regret never to be rid of.
That one place,
You and I,
We've been there before,
Solitude amongst the hills,
We had no need for words,
Nothing to say,
For silence was enough,
And yet the occasional sigh
Was just enough
To bring us back,
Only to slip away once more
Into that delicate land of our most treasured dreams.
Trying to find that space,
That one place in the world,
With the soft gentle whispering of trees,
Their voices running endless along the world,
Entreating us with their stories of old,
